Getting started

Record your first coaching session

The hardest part of using JourneyLoop isn't the tech — it's asking your client if they're OK being recorded. Here's how we make that easy.

In this tutorial

  • How do I ask my client for consent to be recorded?
  • How do I add a new client and schedule their first session?
  • What will my client see when they open the consent link?

The core idea

You don't have to ask awkwardly.

Your client gets a consent link they can complete on their own time. On that page, they choose whether to enable AI note-taking, whether to get their own client portal, what types of emails they want, and how much of the session to record — video and audio, transcript only, or nothing at all.

You're handing them the keys to their own data. Most coaches find that once the client sees how much control they have, saying yes feels easy.

How it works

Three steps, start to finish. Your companion guides you through all of them.

1. Add your client

Tell your companion you want to record your next session. Share the client's name, meeting link, and how many sessions you've booked. Your client is added to your roster instantly.

2. Share the consent link

Your companion generates a consent link. Send it to your client. They pick AI, portal access, recording level, and email preferences on their own time.

3. Show up for your session

Once your client consents, the session is scheduled automatically. JourneyLoop handles the recording, transcription, and analysis. You focus on being present.

What's next

After your first session, your companion will walk you through the analysis and help you share insights with your client.
